Erie turned 60 in 2017 and now provides service to 70,000 medical and 12,500 dental patients - via 300,000 annual patient encounters - from 13 locations in the city and suburbs. We have pioneered an integrated service model that offers pregnant women, babies, children, teens, adult men and women, and seniors comprehensive primary care—including medical, dental and behavioral health—all under one roof. And, at Erie, patient care does not end when the office visit is over. Because we also surround and support our patients with case management, care management, and continuing education and engagement.
Erie delivers about 2,500 babies/year, more than any other health center in IL. We are also the home to three family medicine residencies, a further indication of our quality. (If you have a moment, we invite you to explore more about us on this website.)
Our size and relative sophistication mean that your career here can develop in many different ways in addition to serving patients. For providers this might include research, precepting, medical specialty leadership and site leadership. For other staff this might include role specialization and promotion, supervisory responsibility and continuing training/education.
Moreover, Erie is an approved National Health Service Corps site, so Providers and Nurses are eligible for their student loan repayment program while working at any of Erie’s 13 sites.
