The Human Resources Associate is responsible for the coordination of all processes (ex. Onboarding and Offboarding) related to Erie’s Non-Employees (students, volunteers, residents, etc.). Currently there are 270 Non-Employees throughout Erie’s 12 Sites and the number is growing. The HR Associate will provide support in the clerical day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department; including personnel file management and general assistance to employees.  Ensures accurate and timely recording of employee data in HR electronic systems. Conducts special projects and internal audits as assigned by Human Resources Director. Visits sites as needed to achieve goals of the department. Operates with professionalism, discretion and strict confidentiality in all aspects of duties performed.

The Human Resources Associate must have a sense of humor and great work ethic. The candidate should possess the following talents: positivity, responsibility, empathy and focus. This position requires someone with a close attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects and deadlines. The candidate will be able to interface directly with staff members of culturally and professionally diverse backgrounds.

Requirements: Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum two years of office experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Human Resources experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Excellent customer service skills and experience required.  Demonstrated problem-solving, ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, planning and organizational skills. Advanced PC proficiency with knowledge of web-based, self-service human resource applications, PowerPoint, Excel, and database applications desirable.  Bilingual (Spanish/English) in reading, writing, speaking and listening preferred. (May be required to translate for non-English/Spanish only speaking patients, employees and/or guests.)
